Charlie Sheen Comedy Central Roast

Charlie Sheen is returning to television, although not on Two and a Half Men.

Comedy Central has announced that it will host a roast of the embattled "warlock" actor with "tiger blood" on September 10 in Los Angeles. The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen will air on Sept. 19, which just so happens to be the same night that Ashton Kutcher makes his debut as Sheen's replacement on Two and a Half Men.

Scheduling snafu or deliberate? The Comedy Central roast will air at 10 p.m ET, while the Two and a Half Men episode shows on CBS an hour earlier, giving viewers the opportunity to go from one to the other -- and compare and contrast.

For his part, Sheen sounds excited for the roast. "You could say I've been providing kindling for this roast for a while," the 45-year-old actor said in a statement. "It's time to light it up. It's going to be epic."

Since being unceremoniously fired from Two and a Half Men (thanks to a very public meltdown), Sheen has been on a media rampage that included live-in goddesses, a custody battle, a live one-man tour and enough quotable one-liners to make Chevy Chase jealous. He's also alienated a lot of people, including Men show runner Chuck Lorre -- so it should be interesting to see whom Comedy Central taps to roast Sheen. We're betting on Charlie's erstwhile Men costar Jon Cryer, and hoping for Kutcher and Lorre to join in on the fun.

And for once, we have to agree with Sheen. The Comedy Central roast and Kutcher's Two and a Half Men debut should make Sept. 19 one very "epic" night of television.
